October Monthly Horoscope 2025: Restoring Balance

In October we will be focused on relationships as the Sun travels through the sign of Libra. We are looking at our role and our needs during the full moon in Aries, then at the new Moon in Libra, once we have figured out what we want in relationships, it's time for a fresh start.

A relationship in perfect balance.

This month we also see the first of the outer planets, Pluto, end its retrograde on the 13th. Will it be time for the people to finally rise? Neptune will dip back into its home sign of Pisces to help us wrap up the work we started 14 years ago. Of course it's also Pumpkin Latte season, and the fall colors are in full bloom, at least here in the Northern Hemisphere. Let's take a look below at the day by day interactions.

October 1st - As usual we need to start the month with saying Rabbit Rabbit! And this month in honor of the season, blow a little cinnamon through your front door for abundance. As the month begins we have some tension between Jupiter in Cancer and Mercury in Libra, you could even add in Chiron in Aries, which gives us a t-square or what I like to call a mountain of pressure. Words may be thrown around to try and hurt you. The best way forward is to take the high road, don't get down in the mud with those who are slinging it wide and far right now. This will grow in intensity for the next several days, expect the conflict to peak on the 3rd.

October 3rd - Mercury in Libra is facing of with Chiron in Aries. This is a battle of words between lovers or business partners. With any opposition it is always best to find a way to meet in the middle. But that wounded ego of yours might make that difficult. If in a business partnership, the other 2 partners may be trying to gang up on you. Try to find a mediator in order to work this issue out.

October 4th - Venus in the sign of Virgo is meeting up with the South Node, just like Mars did last July. More karma is being released. Is a woman being released from some kind of confinement? This of course means Venus is in opposition to the North Node in the sign of Pisces. The nodes always show us fates hand in our life. Venus is money, love, and beauty, while Virgo is health and wellness. We could be letting go of someone at this time due to health issues. It's a great time for you to remove anything from your life that negatively impacts your overall well being. Mercury fresh of its battle with Chiron is now picking a fight with Saturn. Some authority figure may be under attack for being unwilling to negotiate. Mercury does rule travel, so this is a day to be careful, especially around water.

October 6th - We have the full moon in Aries at 14 degrees of the sign. It's time for those goals you set for yourself 6 months ago to be met. Mars the ruler of Aries sits in its next favorite sign, Scorpio. Your desire to get what you want is very strong now. It might even feel like a calling. Mercury has spent the last 3 weeks in the sign of Libra, providing us with the information we needed to relate to others. As the planet gets ready to leave Libra, there may be some kind of test of your boundaries. And as the planet moves into the sign of Scorpio and meets at an odd angle with Neptune in Aries, and Uranus in Gemini, forming a YOD, some secrets may be revealed. In fact, it might just be your personal mission to expose the truth. Hard truths may come up with the square to Pluto in Aquarius as well. October 7th - speaking your truth is what is important now, as Mercury in Scorpio, continues its YOD, or finger of God, with Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries, both are still retrograde. This is something about the past that is being exposed. Sharing this truth is going to start some type of revolution, or significant change. This will be felt strongest by those with planets in these signs and at these early degrees.

October 8th - there could be some type of reward for the information that has been shared. Venus in Virgo is meeting in harmony with Jupiter in Cancer. Whenever the two most positive planets in the zodiac combine their energies things feel better. Sometimes they feel a little too good, so watch out for overindulging. Mars in Scorpio has a brief face off with the Moon in Taurus, there is a battle over money for some of you out there. Trust your intuition here, if someone is pressuring you financially, take a time out. In a few days you can proceed. Use that Venus in Virgo energy to look over all the fine print before you sign on the dotted line.

October 10th - Uranus is dipping back into the 0 degree territory of the sign of Gemini. This is something from last July/August that is now coming full circle, some kind of information. Of course at that time everyone was talking about the Epstein files, and there was a lot of confusion and distraction. What surprises are in store for us now? What journey of discovery have you been on? We also see the Sun in Libra making an odd connection to the north node in Pisces. A relationship we thought was a great success may be showing signs of tension. Religious leaders may come under attack, or christianity.

October 11th - Venus in Virgo is facing off with Saturn in Pisces, still retrograde. This is stepping up the battle these two started back in August. Venus is not really a good match for Saturn's power. In mythology Venus is born of Saturn's attack on his father Uranus. So we could be seeing some sort of family drama playing out on the world stage. Women may be rising as a result of a conflict among men.

October 13th - Venus is activating the eclipse point from the new moon Solar Eclipse last month, at 29 degrees of Virgo. The final degree of a sign is always intense, as it tests us on what we have learned between the time the planet first entered the sign and now. This can be what is coming in to replace what you let go, or a lesson about what you are still hanging onto. My recommendation is to work with the energy and release whatever this lesson is for you. This is also the last day of Pluto in retrograde. The work that has been going on internally is ready to see the light of day.

October 14th - Venus is presenting us with a huge opportunity just like Mars showed us last August. As always when we see a kite formation, there is some tension created that is needed in order for us to make a big launch. In the sign of Libra this could be a partnership of some kind. There will likely be some big announcement about an agreement with Venus forming the grand air trine with Pluto and Uranus. These outer planets still in retrograde would suggest this is based on the past, and affects society as a whole. More on this in the weekly astrolesson. Those with those early degree planets in the air signs, want to make sure you take advantage of whatever is being offered you right now. It is likely to be a very successful venture for you.

October 16th - Jupiter and Chiron have still been at odds with one another, and now we add in the Sun. This is a big ego war of some kind playing out on the world stage. Still Jupiter at the top of this mountain of pressure is trying to get everyone to play nice, to consider each others feelings. If you are embroiled in some conflict, being gracious to others, is exactly what you need to do. The Moon also forms a brief YOD, from the sign of Virgo with Neptune and Pluto. Controlling your emotions during this stressful time is the key to success. This conflict is with us for a few days, so keep grounding your energy.

October 18th - Mars in Scorpio is hanging out with Mercury sharing war stories while both speak in harmony with the North and South node. Information about past conflicts is being brought to the surface. This might just change everything you thought you knew. This conversation, continues for a few days. When you are given information you need to act on it. This is not the time to overthink. Mars is action, Mercury is information and the nodes are fated events. Don't block your fate. Take this information and run with it.

October 19th - the Sun is making an awkward connection to Saturn in the sign of Pisces. These are two leaders who are not able to get along, and something about the conflict is escalating. You don't want to be caught in the middle of this conflict. Boundaries are the issue, and these two are simply not going to agree. The Saturn player may be getting sneaky, while the Sun player is trying to make peace. I am certain we are still talking about Russia and Ukraine here sadly.

October 21st - the new moon in Libra offers us a fresh start in our relationships and in our legal issues. Libra wants things to be fair for all involved. This new moon happens to be forming yet another YOD, this time with Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries. There could be some really strange partnerships forming at this time in order to complete some type of mission. This may involve speaking up about the past. One leader in particular has something important to share. All while we still see that mountain of pressure with Jupiter and Chiron. The gods are not happy as their war wages in the sky above us. Just to add more fuel to the fire, Mercury starts its pre-shadow phase today, for it's last retrograde of the year. So those new beginnings, well not so fast, they won't be going quite as expected. October 22nd - The Sun in Libra will finish its time in the sign still part of the YOD it formed with the Moon. In fact, it will stay connected to Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces for a few days. While the Sun moves into Scorpio, Neptune moves back into its home sign of Pisces. This means things are shifting and changing, again. Neptune and the Sun are going to be stirring things up while Uranus shakes things up. Could be some major hurricanes happening at this time.

October 23rd - as the Moon moves through Scorpio it meets up with Mars and Mercury, this is stirring up the waters. It is also telling us to tune in, because something that happens today will be under review once Mercury comes back here to wrap up its retrograde next month. Make a note about whatever happens today. When the Moon comes back next month it will meet with Mercury and the Sun, it's a cazimi New Moon!! Mind blowing is what I am calling this energy. Major weather events involving water seem to occur when the Moon is in a water sign. Plan accordingly. Especially as the Moon will be speaking in harmony with Jupiter in Cancer, another water sign. Jupiter expands on what it touches so either our emotions are getting bigger, or the water is, maybe both. Scorpio is the sign of death and rebirth, transformation comes from our emotions. Water of course brings tremendous transformation to our physical landscape. Perhaps this is some much needed rain in some areas that need it. October 24th - speaking of water Mercury, as it moves forward, becomes part of a grand water trine with Jupiter, and Saturn. These three combined are giving us a grand plan that has all to do with how to use our emotions to heal. This is based on something from the past. A major conflict is underway at the same time, as we see the Sun in Scorpio square off with Pluto in Aquarius, which is now moving forward. Chiron is still very active as well, still squaring with Jupiter. Our wounds are activated for all to see. In fact some information about some type of pain from the past is being exposed. This will be an intense few days. Remember your triggers show up for a reason, so you can learn to take your power back from them, stop reacting, or overreacting. Just see what is at the bottom of all this pain, and release it.

October 27th - things continue to get weirder and weirder. Venus in Libra is making an odd connection to the North Node in Pisces, some type of relationship fallout. While Mars in Scorpio is making an odd angle with Chiron in Aries. This can create accidents, so be careful. This can create violent outbursts from unhealthy individuals. Someone in pain is likely to act out. And still Jupiter sits at the top of all this energy trying to be the guiding force to how to resolve it all. Jupiter is a great and wise teacher, we all need to listen up. Mars joins forces with Jupiter and Chiron, bringing the muscle, bringing the motivation we need to succeed in this emotional conflict. This could be about a leader who is unwell and his family who are trying to get him to step down. The family will succeed.

October 28th - Mercury and Neptune join forces and 29 degrees of Scorpio and Pisces. This is energy and information we need to succeed in our dream for change. Neptune is reviving a dream we had in the past, and Mercury provides the details we need to share it with others. Communication can be dreamy, or deceiving now. Just be sure you check over all the details carefully. There are still things being hidden beneath the surface. This will likely be some sort of dramatic conclusion to something that started as Mercury first entered into Scorpio.

October 29th - Mercury gets out of the dark and moves into the light as it transitions into the sign of Sagittarius. Conversations get much more fun, they are becoming much bigger. Things move fast in the fire sign Sagittarius. There is much to learn, almost too much. Mercury is at fall in Sagittarius. There aren't enough details, there is too much reliance on faith. Your goal over the next few weeks is to balance both. Mercury is in its pre-shadow phase of its upcoming retrograde. All is not what it seems and there is still much to be revealed. There are big surprises as Mercury in Sagittarius faces off with Uranus in Gemini! Information wars are highly likely. Be sure to balance facts with story telling so as not to be deceived.

October 30th - while Mercury tries to explain to Uranus what it needs to be doing differently as it is in Mercury's home sign, Pluto joins in as somewhat of a mediator. Hard to believe I know, but the planet speaks in harmony with both Mercury and Uranus. So is it adding fuel to the fire, having fun being the antagonist, or actually trying to help. Only time will tell.

October 31st - Happy Halloween! As we wrap up this intense month the Sun of course is in the dark and spooky sign of Scorpio while it speaks in harmony with the Moon in Pisces. This helps us see in the dark and not be afraid. There still could be something that pops out of the dark that does shock us. If you like horror movies because of the drama and scare tactics then this day will be right up your alley. If like me you don't, then best stay at home.

November - the long stand off between Chiron and Jupiter continues, now it's Venus's turn to face of with the two. Just remember out of all this conflict is the solution, we just have to be willing to make the effort. Mercury begins its final retrograde of the year on the 9th, and it will end on the 29th. Saturn also begins to move forward on the 27th. Uranus leaves Gemini for a final tour of the sign of Taurus on the 7th. Then we have Jupiter who starts its retrograde on 11/11, this is opening a big portal to the past. Sprinkled in we have the Full Moon in Taurus on the 5th and the New Moon in Scorpio on the 20th, right as Mercury stations to go direct. Just another simple month ahead!
