A note on timing: The Full Moon is astronomically exact on October 26, 2026 at 2°45′ Taurus, at 4:12 UTC. In Arizona and much of the western United States, that occurs on the evening of October 25th, which is why this lunation may be referred to locally as the October 25th Full Moon.
There is something particularly intense about this Full Moon. A Full Moon in Taurus would normally encourage us to slow down, ground ourselves, reconnect with our bodies, simplify our lives and appreciate what is stable and dependable. But this is not a quiet Taurus Full Moon.
The Moon at 2° Taurus is opposite the Sun at 2° Scorpio, while both are locked into a tense square with Pluto at 3° Aquarius. At the same time, Venus—the ruler of Taurus—is retrograde and has just returned to 29° Libra, the final degree of her other home sign.
Venus is also involved with the Sun, Chiron and the larger story of relationship, values and self-worth.
Meanwhile, Neptune in Aries forms an inconjunct to the Scorpio Sun, Uranus remains retrograde in Gemini, and Pluto has just turned direct after months of retrograde motion.
This Full Moon asks a very Taurus question:
What are you no longer willing to sacrifice to maintain your peace, security or self-worth ?

A Full Moon occurs when the Earth is positioned between the Sun and Moon, allowing the Sun to fully illuminate the side of the Moon facing Earth.
Astrologically, the Sun and Moon are opposite one another, creating a polarity between two signs and two areas of life. This is why Full Moons often coincide with culmination, illumination, realization and release.

Pluto stationed direct at 3°04′ Aquarius on October 16, just ten days before the Full Moon. That timing matters astrologically. Pluto has spent months moving backward through Aquarius, symbolically bringing questions of power, control, transformation, technology, community and collective structures inward for review.
Now Pluto begins moving forward again. So this Full Moon can feel like something that has been developing beneath the surface is ready to become visible.

Venus has just traveled through Scorpio retrograde and then returns to Libra. During this process, she has moved through some very deep territory. Venus is stationing retrograde at approximately 8°29′ Scorpio on October 3rd, returning to Libra on October 25th. This gives the Full Moon an important relationship storyline.
Venus is revisiting Libra—the sign of partnership, equality and balance—after traveling through Scorpio's deeper emotional territory.

So even though these aspects are not all exact on the Full Moon itself, they describe the astrological story unfolding throughout October.
