August Monthly Horoscope: Eclipse Warm-Up

August is the the month before our next set of eclipses, the energy will already be active. As the month begins we are still under a Mercury retrograde in the sign of Leo. No other planets go retrograde until Uranus joins the parade in September. We will see a full moon in the sign of Aquarius, and the new moon will be in Virgo. This same sign will give us our 2nd new moon in Virgo at 29 degrees next month, the new moon solar eclipse. Best pay close attention to those new moon intentions this month. Below we look at the breakdown day by day.

August 1st - it's that time again! Rabbit Rabbit! May the month ahead be full of luck and blessings. Venus one of the benefic planets has just entered into the sign of Cancer, as it does it squares off with Saturn and Neptune, both retrograde. You may want to spend a lot of time around your family, but there is a cost to your own well-being potentially. Or if you have been on the outs with your family, now would be a good time to clear the air.

August 2nd - Mars in the sign of Virgo is meeting up with Chiron at an odd angle. The actions you are taking to try and heal are not quite hitting the mark. Use this day to reevaluate your approach to healing. With Venus also speaking at an odd angle to Pluto in Aquarius, this is an important day for releasing limiting beliefs.

August 5th - Mars enters the last degree of Virgo, and activates the upcoming solar eclipse point. This is a test about the work you have done to heal over the past 6 weeks. Did you improve your diet? Did you get moving, get exercising? Or did you make commitments to do so? Whatever the work you did now you are being tested about your resolve to continue this healthier pattern going forward. Your health should not be a battle. Make it a part of your everyday activities to you can easily maintain your new routines. If you are struggling with breaking free from bad habits this is the energy you want supporting you and helping you succeed once and for all.

August 7th - Mars moves into the sign of Libra for the next 6 weeks. Now our relationships, personal and business become more active. We may feel motivated to rebalance our relationships. We also may feel very passionate about righting some kind of wrong since Libra is also the scales of Justice. We have a kite formation that begins to lift off as a result of the tension between the law and some maybe somewhat delusional leader, Saturn and Neptune in Aries. The collective, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are all working behind the scenes to help you resolve the tension between what is good for your partnership and what is good for yourself. We may see some sort of major litigation launched as a result of this energy. This will be with us for several days. Be sure to take advantage of any big ideas that come to you as downloads. That grand air trine between Mars, Uranus and Pluto is full of potential.

August 9th - amidst all this energy to get something off the ground, think kite formation, we have the full moon in the sign of Aquarius. This is the conclusion of something aquarian in nature. This could be an invention of some kind. This could be the end of the road for someone who works in a tech industry. The Sun lights up the moon from the sign of Leo, the place it calls home. A leader and its people are facing off over their needs. With the kite formation in play it suggests that if you want to get this idea off the ground you have got to come up with a new idea, a very innovative idea that is the result of many minds working together. August 10th - there is strangeness in the air as the Sun in Leo is making an odd angle to the North node in Pisces. Information may come out that adds to the strangeness because of Mercury in retrograde also making this same inconjunct angle to the Moon in Pisces. Things like secrets are potentially being exposed. Perhaps this is what needs to be shared to get that lawsuit off the ground. Especially with Mercury stationing to go direct, information could be coming out from surprising places.

August 11th - when the 2 benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter, holds hands in the emotional sign of Cancer it is bound to be a blessed day. The energy should feel good and indulgent. You may experience some sort of blessing especially if you have planets at the 13-14 degree of Cancer, and the other water signs. Jupiter is strong in the sign of Cancer. Since it entered here in June how is your Cancer house expanding? How is your family expanding? Today there may be good news involving an addition to the family. This can cause you to want to over indulge as well, so don't go buying something extravagant for your home, unless you can truly afford it.

August 13th - as Mercury begins to move forward it speaks in harmony with Mars in Libra. This could be a partnership of some kind where an agreement is reached. Mars motivates you to take action on the information you learned during Mercury's retrograde. Take advantage of it. Since Mercury is moving slowly the conversation with Mars lasts several days, this will help give you the momentum to keep this new idea going.

August 15th - your payday may be larger than usual as Venus in Cancer has a positive conversation with the North and South Node. This is a fated event that could involve a payout for the work you did in the past. A new creative outlet may be what falls in your lap with this kind of energy. It could also be a new love or someone new to love in the family. Some could see a new home as a result of this fated blessing.

August 19th - the Sun in Leo meets up in harmony with Chiron in Aries, retrograde. This is the time to heal something that hurt you in the past. The Sun shines a light on you and you want to rise to the occasion. If you had a healing business in the past it may be time to open up the door again. Mercury and Mars have been inspiring you all week with big ideas. It's about time to share them with the world.

August 21st - the Sun hits the 29 degree point of Leo and turns up the heat. Passion may be causing you to throw caution to the wind. However, this is fire energy and you are likely to get burned. Instead consider how you can use your passion to help inspire others instead of making some horrible relationship choices you are bound to regret.

August 23rd - the new moon in Virgo happens for some in the wee hours of the morning on the 22nd, for the rest it is the 23rd. This is a 0 degree new moon. This is a reset moment in one area of your life, that could possibly include your health or work. Virgo is the energy aligned with our 6th house, all the things that are a part of our day to day life. With next month's new moon solar eclipse happening also in the sign of Virgo and at 29 degrees there is both a beginning and ending that is a part of what you start now. What you are shown now helps you see what you have to let go of during the solar eclipse. This could end up being a shocking event as the Sun and Moon are squaring to Uranus in the sign of Gemini, and making odd angles to Pluto and Neptune and Saturn. That means this new moon forms a YOD, a mission from God. There is a major life quest you are about to embark on, it's fated, you must do this. August 24th - the Sun will continue it's work from the new moon as the YOD also continues. With the Moon joining the South Node in Virgo it's the past that shows us the way forward. The square to Uranus is also still active, likely causing some shocks, maybe even some earthquakes. Just remember these big changes are for the greater good, try to stay in the present moment so you don't get overwhelmed.

August 25th - more unique astrological formations, now we have the envelope. Which is a mystic rectangle and 2 oppositions. Venus moves into Leo and speaks in harmony with the Moon in Libra and Saturn and Neptune in Aries. As the Moon moves quickly you want to tune in and listen to this message and immediately take action. The Moon is trine to Pluto in Aquarius, stirring up secrets. Pluto is opposing Venus. This could be an important female figure who opposes some type of inventor. The Moon in Libra opposes Saturn and Neptune. Is this a woman in the field of law opposing an older leader? The Moon is also reactivating that Grand Air trine that was with Mars, Uranus and Pluto. This story is continuing to unfold, and it looks to be pretty juicy information we are getting now. Don't let the opposition pressure hold you back. Use it to launch this idea you have forward.

August 26th - the moon moves on to join with Mars now and compare notes on their big idea. Venus and Pluto continue to battle over who has the power, it could be quite a show with Venus in the sign of Leo. While Venus fights with Pluto, she is making plans with Saturn and Neptune. This is someone you know from the past who is showing up with a plan to help you win. Mercury in Leo is making an odd connection with the North Node in Pisces, is the Pope the driver of this conflict somehow?

August 27th - the energy just keeps giving us huge opportunities this month. Jupiter is speaking in harmony with the nodes, while the Moon in Lira faces off with Chiron in Aries. This is something hidden that is coming to the surface that blesses you. This could create a major emotional transformation in your life. This does require effort on your part. You cannot ignore your intuition right now, the cost will be too high. Planets you have around 18 degrees, especially in the water signs are going to be showing up to help in a big way too. Jupiter and the nodes are speaking in harmony for several days. Keep showing up for the doors that are opening for you now. Fate holds the key to your big future.

August 29th - the Moon moves into the sign of Scorpio where is speaks in harmony with Jupiter and the North Node, creating an emotional Grand water trine. Fated opportunities ae calling your name. Will you answer the call? Yes you will if you want to grow and change, and be blessed.

August 31st - the Jupiter and Node blessings continue while Mercury in Leo speaks in harmony with Chiron in retrograde. Are we learning information about a painful event in the past, learning something new so we can heal and move on? With the Moon in the sign of Sagittarius which is a big learning, it gains support from Mars in Libra. Do we have a new partnership agreement taking place now between two countries?

September preview - its Eclipse season - again! Was that a quick 6 months or what? Saturn will be moving back into the sign of Pisces. It's time to test your resolve to dissolve all those situations where your boundaries are not honored. We have seen Uranus in Gemini just since July, on the 5th, we begin to review what we have been learning so far. This review for the Gemini energy will last until November 7th, then it's back to the final Taurus review.
