On Saturday September the 10th we will have a Full Moon in Pisces around 3:00 am PDT. Full Moon’s bring endings and completion of our New Moon wishes from March 2nd of this year. Pisces is a water sign, it’s the last sign in the Zodiac as well. The Moon is feeling good when it is in this fellow water sign.
The Moon represents what we need to feel safe and secure, cared for, and nurtured in our lives. Pisces is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. It is the sign that rules over music, art, spirituality and psychic abilities. Ruled by water this is a very emotional and intuitive sign. If you think about going fishing you throw your line in not knowing exactly where the fish are. You just know they exist underneath the surface of the water. Fish have been associated with faith, and we have all heard give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, but teach a man to fish.... We are feeding the soul at the time of the Full Moon.
The Sun reflects a light on the Moon from the sign of Virgo. This sign represents healing and being of service. The question then becomes what are you doing to heal yourself? Where are you losing faith? How can you let go of your ego goals and allow spirit to lead the way?
Each Full Moon brings emotional intensity so we can become aware of where in our life we feel out of balance. The goal of opposing energies, like the Sun and Moon are now, is to find a way to bring them back into balance. To meet our Virgo energy goals and our Pisces energy goals. Virgo is structure and boundaries, following the rules. Pisces is boundary-less. Water doesn’t really have any structure to it either. It relies on the shoreline to give it that. Virgo is that shoreline and what is giving water shape. The two need each other, but sometimes they forget. Twice a year they get a gentle reminder to get along.
We are ending whatever in our life is keeping us from maintaining good boundaries. The ruler of the sign of Pisces is Neptune. This planet can make things foggy and confusing. Fog too has no boundaries. You have to tune into Spirit in order to find your way through. Some tend to get lost in the fogginess of denial. Or use substances like alcohol and drugs to delude themselves, so they do not have to face the truth. Now is the time to end any addictions that are harming your soul.
In good aspect to the Full Moon is the planet Uranus in Taurus. This is the planet of surprise. It has been speaking with he Nodes of fate for some time now. The North Node is just now starting to separate from Uranus, but they are still close enough to be considered conjunct. So, there could be a surprising twist of fate that occurs as a result of this Full Moon. The Sun and Moon also speak in harmony with the South Node, which is our karma and things we are releasing from the past. The Sun trine to Uranus means we have to make an effort to see ourselves succeed, such as learn the lessons from our past. This is great energy to use when you need to break free from your ego self, the one that holds you back, keeps you feeling small and fearful. The Moon makes a sextile to Uranus and the North Node, offering a surprising emotional break through.
The ruler of this Full Moon is Neptune and it is also in the sign of Pisces. It has recently gone retrograde, which is does for almost half of every year. This is the energy that pushes us to take off our rose-colored glasses and stop deluding ourselves, as it opposes the Sun. This energy will be with us for several days after the Full Moon, suggesting the work we need to do won’t be a one and done type of event. We may need to prove ourselves here, that we are committed to this change. The Moon in Pisces, is about 7 degrees away from Neptune, but it will move closer, and it moves quickly, so it is still a conjunction. Combining the two energies together gives us very strong intuition, and it heightens our emotions. Because of this we are able to easily tap into our creative side. This is a great time for writing, painting, and creating music, channel those feelings into something productive. This is not a good time to get stuck in victim mode.
Neptune and Pluto have been in a sextile most of the year. This is easy energy, that you may not even notice. But the subtle power you are gaining by tapping into your spiritual side, by tapping into your emotions is activated during the full moon. This is what makes this an especially powerful time to manifest what you want.
A YOD, or Finger of God, is formed by two sextile planets who are both inconjunct to a third. The inconjunct point is where the lesson and the work lie.The two sextile planets help you do the work. The YOD is formed by Chiron, Saturn and the Sun. The mission from God says, it is time to let go of anything that is causing you to doubt yourself, or your strength. The Sun and Chiron have been inconjunct for several days now, helping you see this issue that keeps holding you back. Your mission is to heal the wound. Close it for good. The past does not need to keep repeating itself. Learn the lesson and move on, so says Saturn. As the Sun is sextile to the South Node, as the YOD is forming, it’s giving you the strength you need to close the wound. It is showing you something about the past, so you can successfully let this go. It is also a good time to focus on apologies and settling past karmic debt. Chiron loosely sextile to Saturn is helping you do the work to heal the wounds to your ego, as they are both inconjunct the Sun. The Moon sits right in the middle of Chiron and Saturn as it opposes the Sun. It is asking you to tune into your inner world, to stop ignoring your intuition. The answers you seek during this Full Moon/YOD event will be found there, don't ignore it.
Mercury will have just stationed and gone retrograde in the sign of Libra as the Moon reaches fullness. There is major potential for our relationships to play a part in the full moon activities. Maybe there is some closure needed and now you will finally have that. There is likely a relationship from the past, or something that happened in the past that needs to be resolved. The full moon may help kickoff the work you need to do in this area. In some way relationships play a part in us reaching our full moon goals no matter where this happens in your chart. How we communicate with our partners needs to be reviewed. Under the light of the full moon you will likely see what that means. Then you have the next 6 weeks to do the work. Which carries you right up to the New Moon Solar eclipse, where what no longer serves you will be removed once and for all.
There are a lot of inconjunct angles among the planets, so I am expecting a higher amount of weirdness with this Full Moon. Venus and Jupiter, the Sun and Saturn, the South Node and Chiron, things may just feel a little off this whole week leading up to the Full Moon.
With the Full Moon in Pisces it is a good time for working with the element of water. Hot baths, Epsom salt baths, setting your intentions by speaking into a glass of water. I have an entire workbook for every Moon event you can download for a small fee on my website here. It is a tutorial about the astrology sign the Moon is in and how to best align yourself to manifest what your goal is for that particular moon. It’s about 40 pages of great information!
The following information for this Full Moon will be most evident based on your Rising sign. But the Sun sign and Moon are also important to review. See below for how this may show up for you.
Pisces – the 1st house is the house that rules over the self, and especially how we show ourselves to others. Your partner may be shining a light for you to see yourself more clearly. You are ready to make changes as a result of what you see and become more aligned with your true self. Trust your intuition, let go of the need to control everything and everyone around you. A surprising communication may come through during this Full Moon that helps you see yourself in a whole new light.
Aquarius – a full moon in your second house brings completion to something about the money you make. This is the value that you contribute to yourself. A job change, or a change in responsibility could bring you a more fulfilling source of income. Perhaps you are ready to pursue your artistic dreams and goals, or one is about to be achieved. How other people value you is where the light is shining from so you can see yourself more clearly and just how valuable you truly are. There could be a surprise job offering that leads to an increase in pay, someone from the past is involved. But you may need to move to take it.
Capricorn – are you about to finish a course of study? The full moon brings completion in your 3rd house. This is the house that rules over our communication skills, like learning, speaking, and teaching. You could be getting rid of a communication device or even a vehicle. Of course, it is Mercury retrograde so I don’t recommend that unless the purchase is well protected. The Sun is shining the light from your 9th house of higher education. It asks how you are going to apply what you have been learning. A surprise in the house that rules over your heart could bring a new passion project for you to begin work on, or a surprising new romance.
Sagittarius – in the 4th house of home and family you are completing something that involves where you live, or who you live with. This could be something related to being a Mom, or your Mom. The Sun is shining a light from your career. What about your job is affecting your goals at home. Could there be a surprise job offer that makes you consider making a move unexpectedly?
Scorpio – the 5th house brings a passion project to a close. This is the house that rules our romances, our children and our hobbies. Perhaps you are ready to break free from a group you have long been a part of to take your hobby in a new direction, alone. A friend may be shining a light and showing you the way. A surprise from your significant other could elevate your romance to the next level. Perhaps a friend lets you know they have feelings for you that you never expected.
Libra – as you contend with the Mercury retrograde in your sign, you have a lot of thinking to do about how you are showing yourself to the world. A full moon happens in your 6th house of work, heath and daily life. Perhaps you are ready to retire and start spending more time on your personal goals. You could come into some money you were not expecting that opens new doors, such as retiring early and traveling the world.
Virgo – with a full moon in your 7th house of serious relationships you could be ending a partnership or beginning a new one. The Sun shining a light from your 1st house is helping you see what you want in a serious relationship. How your own goals must be met, not just your partners. This could be business or personal. There could be a new mentor who appears as if from nowhere to help you create the type of business relationship you want. But you might have to let go of how you thought your business was going to go.
Leo – the 8th house rules our debts, death and transformation. This is the income that we get from others. The value we gain from others. If in a relationship this could signify a change coming to your partners income. The Sun is shining a light from the money you make. Perhaps the two of you need to do a better job of contributing equally to life’s expenses. There could be a surprise job offer that elevates your income above your partner’s or vice versa. How will you handle the change? You could end things if this relationship no longer serves you.
Cancer – as a fellow water sign and the Moon’s homeland you feel in harmony during this Full Moon. The Moon is in your 9th house of growth and expansion. A goal to travel may come to fruition now. Or perhaps a goal to finish a degree. The Sun shines from the 3rd house of your local community. Maybe you want to do more there, but it is going to push you outside your comfort zone. A community group could surprise you by reaching out, or a community leader, paving the way to this new venture. Let your intuition be your guide.
Gemini – in the 10th house something about how others see you is coming to a close. This is the house that rules over your career, fame and recognition. You could be receiving some recognition for a job well done. The Sun shines a light from the 4th house of home and family. How does the work you do conflict with your family? Is where you live holding you back from achieving your work goals? Something comes to the surface unexpectedly and could change everything about the work you do. A job change is a definite possibility.
Taurus – a full moon in the 11th house may see you ending a friendship, or ending your time spent with a service group that is no longer meeting your needs. The Sun shines a light from your 5th house that rules the heart. Have you been too focused on money and not spending enough time giving your heart what it wants? You may just surprise yourself, reinvent yourself even with the North Node and Uranus in your house of self. You are breaking free from how you have seen yourself for the past 19 years. It’s big work, don’t shy away from it now.
Aries – 12th house endings can be more below the surface, as this is the house that rules all things that are hidden and locked away. Are you ready to free yourself from your anxiety? A good health and exercise routine may be just what you need to heal your subconscious mind. Once you believe you are enough, the sky’s the limit on what you can achieve, especially financially.
