On July 13, 2022 at 11:37 am PST we have the powerful Full Moon in Capricorn. This will be the largest Super Moon this year, meaning the Moon is closest to the Earth and appears very large and bright. Full Moons are a time of completion, release and endings. If you are looking for closure in the area related to Capricorn, such as career or father energy, this is your Moon.
The Moon in the sign of Capricorn is at what we astrologers call it’s fall or detriment. It is opposing its home sign of Cancer, where it is happiest. The opposing sign is the things it is weakest at. Capricorn energy is all business, less emotions, the exact opposite of Cancer energy. What it allows though, is for you to keep your emotions in check, and logically deal with them. Capricorn is the 10th house of the Zodiac, the highest point in your chart. It is where we reach our pinnacle of success. This is why it is most often associated with our careers, but it can also be our social status. It represents whatever we are most known for, sometimes that can be our marriage. It also is father energy. So, the Moon represents Mother, and it is in the sign that represents the Father, it just doesn’t feel like itself in this sign. But this indicates in order to resolve your issues with your femininity you have to deal with your masculinity.
The Sun in Cancer is also not its strongest place. A fire sign in a water sign like Cancer, can get lost in all the emotional energy. But when the Sun is placed here you shine at caring and nurturing others. In fact, your success relies on your ability to take care of others. Those who have strong Cancer energy make great caretakers, whether they have their own children or not, they will likely take care of anyone in their presence. The Sun will shine a light from the sign that rules home and family in order for the Moon to complete its Capricorn goals. This means we have to bring the areas of the feminine and masculine energy into balance. In order to achieve your career goals, you cannot forget about your family goals as well.
The Moon in Capricorn will be powered up by Pluto, who is retrograde and sitting in the sign of Capricorn at 27 degrees. This is a little wide for a strong conjunction, but the Moon moves fast, and Pluto is powerful. Pluto rules death and transformation, sexuality and power. It pushes you to face your fears and turn them into a strength. There is something about the past you want resolved, an emotional event that has some kind of hold over you even. Now is the time to bring this to a close.
The Sun will be conjunct to Mercury, not yet Cazimi, but just 4 degrees apart. This highlights our thinking and our communication to others. We need to say our peace in order for this closure to happen. But we need to say it with the feelings of others in mind. Whatever this message is it may start off at the Full Moon but it will be with you for the following week as Mercury moves closer to the Sun and both will eventually fully face off with Pluto. There is a major power struggle that is going to show its face at the Full Moon, but then continue to unfold in the coming days.
Whatever is happening it is fated. The Sun, Moon and Mercury in particular are in positive aspect to the Nodes of fate. The Sun and Mercury are trine to the South Node and sextile to the North, the Moon is the opposite setup. The South Node is what is being released. In the sign of Scorpio is rules over all things that are below the surface, things like secrets, sexuality, and the metaphysical. The North Node is what we want to accomplish in this lifetime, you can’t do that without learning the lessons of your past, without facing your karmic past. It sits in the sign of Taurus, which rules over our sensuality and our finances, also love and values. This could be a big moment for everyone. Especially since Uranus is within 2 degrees of the North Node now. This adds a somewhat crazy element to this ending. It will definitely surprise you, but it’s in a harmonious angle, so it should surprise you in a good way.
Neptune is making a positive aspect, like the Nodes, to both the Moon and Sun as well. This too has the potential to stir things up and bring them to the surface to be dealt with. Someone or something that has been deluding you may be exposed, and dealt with karmically. Neptune has been dancing with the Nodes in harmony for some time now, so this isn’t brand new, it’s been just beneath the surface for some time. This Full Moon can bring whatever this is fully to the surface to be dealt with once and for all.
Chiron in Aries is forming a bit of a loose T-square to the Full Moon, more directly with Mercury in an almost exact square. This is that bit of news that makes this ending happen. Chiron is in the sign of the warrior, Aries. Our self-confidence, our need to be right is being challenged by those who feel this particular behavior has gotten completely out of hand.
Saturn is retrograde and exactly sextile to Venus, while inconjunct this Full Moon. This is an authority figure whose reign may come to an end in a strange way. Someone in power could suddenly step down for instance. Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, so the ruling planet of this full moon. Venus rules love, finance, values and self-worth, she rules over the sign of Taurus. Saturn can restrict you in these areas or reward you for being responsible. This is a karmic planet, so you will reap what you sow. Venus is also square to Neptune in Pisces which pushes you to see the truth in these areas, whether this is about your behavior or the behavior of others. It’s a gentle nudge, but information will be brought to the surface that you need to see.

Aries – this full moon will support your goals in your career sector since this is happening in your 10th house. The Nodes are sitting in your financial sector during this event, so there could be a financial windfall for you because of achieving some sort of milestone in your career. Of course, you have to deal with the pressure from family with the Sun in your 4th house.
Taurus – in the 9th house there is some pull to travel at this time. This is the house that rules over foreign lands, growth, expansion, and spiritual teachers. It could be a time where you decide to go back to school to pursue some sort of degree. But before you take off, there will be a lot of pressure from the community you are already a part of. The North Node and Uranus are stirring things up for you in your 1st house which rules the image we portray to others. So, this change you make suddenly could be surprise to even you.
Gemini – the 8th house is the resources we receive from others, in Capricorn that could be from the government. Some kind of tax refund, or payout is possible at this time. If you work for the government, some sort of raise. The pressure to do this though means you might have to make some sort of change in your current job as the Sun opposes the Moon from your 2nd house of the money you make. The North Node and Uranus shake things up in your 12th house, this could mean some sort of faraway travel, or big secret coming to the surface to instigate this change. This is the house of the subconscious mind as well, you could release something there that gives you a new sense of freedom.
Cancer – with the Sun in your sign opposing the Moon, you will feel this rather intensely. The Moon sits in your 7th house of marriage and serious relationships. Your battle for independence is getting in the way of you having a successful relationship perhaps. If you can learn how to balance both you can have your happy ending. If the relationship you are in does not serve you it may be time for it to end, whether this is personal or business related. The North Node and Uranus are in your 11th house of friends, so one of them may help you decide what you need to do.
Leo – the full moon for you occurs in your 6th house of health, work, daily life and pets. You can achieve a career goal with the Full Moon, as long as you learn to let go of your imposter syndrome. The Sun in the 12th house makes us deal with that little voice in our head that is always trying to hold us back. But the North Node and Uranus in your 10th house of your career suggests this new role is fated, even if it seems to come out of left field.
Virgo – the 5th house rules your children, your hobbies, your romances, your heart, you can fulfill a dream in these areas. A message from a friend may be what pushes you to take a chance on romance now. But you may have to decide on your priorities, your desire to have fun with your kids, or the needs of the many. You will be guided by spirit to decide with the North Node and Uranus in your 9th house.
Libra – are you thinking about moving? The 4th house is the place where things related to home and family can come to a conclusion. With the Sun in your 10th house something about your career may be causing some tension at home, maybe something to do with your father. But the North Node and Taurus in the 8th house of others people’s resources, can mean that there is a loan or inheritance that is coming through to you to help you fulfill your dreams at home or of your own home.
Scorpio – the Moon in your 3rd house of communication, and community is in a sextile to you. You could receive some good news at this time. The Sun in the 9th house says maybe this news comes from abroad. Finally, you have the answers you have been seeking. The North Node and Uranus are in your 7th house of serious relationships. Perhaps a surprise engagement that causes you to make a big move.
Sagittarius – the 2nd house rules the money you make, so whatever you have been working on to improve your financial resources it is about to happen. The Sun in your 8th house suggests you have some decisions to make about your partners source of income as it could affect this decision of yours. With the North Node and Uranus in your 6th house of work, it looks like you are about to have a wonderful windfall come your way.
Capricorn – this is of course your full moon, as it sits in your first house of self. Helping you achieve a personal goal related to how others see you. The challenge comes from your 7th house of serious relationships and partnerships. If you are in one that is holding your back from being your true self you have some choices to make. If you are being self-centered and not devoting enough time to your partner, then perhaps you need to make some concessions. With the North Node and Uranus is in your 5th house of romance, it looks like love wins.
Aquarius – the 12th house rules the subconscious mind, so what comes to an end here may be your way of blocking yourself from success. The Sun is shining a light from your work sector, which could mean you are too stressed out and need to spend some time decompressing. This is a good time to work on yoga, meditation and hypnotherapy to release whatever is weighing you down. The North Node and Uranus are in your 4th house of home and family, a surprise involving your family could be what you need to lift your spirits.
Pisces – the 11th house can bring you some sort of windfall from a group you are a part of. A friend in some way helps you succeed. The Sun in your house that rules your children says you have to make a choice about what is best for you, and what is best for your child. The North Node and Uranus in your 3rd house of community says you have the support you need from your extended family to take on this new venture.
